James (Jim) Regan has always been driven to help others. In college, he recognized the gap in real-world financial knowledge and dedicated himself to bridging it. For four years, he read The Wall Street Journal cover to cover, mastering the markets and economy.
Before becoming a financial advisor, James served in the Air National Guard, deploying three times for Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
Honored with the Air Force Achievement Medal and named a “Hometown Hero” by Springfield, Ill., he also chaired Military Assistance Mission, a nonprofit aiding military families.
As founder and financial advisor at VALOR Legacy Wealth, James empowers clients to take control of their financial futures. His independent RIA allows him to act in his clients’ best interests, helping them plan, coordinate, and achieve their financial goals. He takes pride in creating roadmaps that guide his clients to their dreams.
James holds a bachelor’s in marketing with a finance minor from Illinois State University. He is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), a Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®), and a member of Ed Slott’s Elite IRA Advisor Group, staying current with legislative changes to retirement planning.
James and his wife, Merian, enjoy raising their three children—Eliana, Pierce, and Colette—and cherish family time together.
